As 2021 begins, we have many reasons to continue celebrating the new year. And it has much to do with the #PathTwitter community! You have welcomed us with comments, likes and retweets and we appreciate all of it. Our tweets are sent with love so you hitting the “like” button and commenting means everything to us!
Today we celebrate the great relationships we’ve built through Twitter as well through our company blog. When we set out to write a series of articles about the pandemic’s role in pathology workflow changes, you answered our call and we were able to include pathologists’ lived experiences in our four-part series Scoping COVID-19. We will continue to shine a light on pathologists through our blog to contribute to pathology in a way that really matters, in a way that brings appreciation for pathologists and in a way that promotes interest in the field of pathology. And we hope to get to know so many of you along the way.
We don’t use the hashtag #PathTwitter lightly. It inserts us into your community and we are thankful to be a part of it. We heard you when you tweeted pathology should be a required round and not an elective; we heard you talk about the critical role pathology plays in guiding patient treatment; we heard you say pathologists will prevail! #PathTwitter, we are listening.
In the coming year, we’re going to be sure to talk about topics the pathology community cares about. You can expect articles from us about LGBTQ+ health, digital pathology opportunities in dermatopathology, AI and the need for pathologists and computer scientists to work together, and we are striving to continue our series amplifying the voices of Black women in medicine.
So, when you see our Twitter announcement that we’ve published a new blog, get excited with us and give it a good read. We’d love to hear your thoughts afterward, so leave a comment on the announcement tweet. And we’re always taking topic suggestions and looking for guest bloggers. Let’s all be part of the conversation.
Let’s talk newsletters. We’d love to have you as a reader of our bi-weekly newsletter Inside Look. Here’s a link to our most recent newsletter so you can decide for yourself if you want to subscribe: https://mailchi.mp/2b9f58977dc4/celebrate. To subscribe, click here.
In addition to informative digital pathology topics, we intend to contribute to the unity and inclusion that pathology embodies through the content we push out on Twitter and in our blog. We have felt very much included in #PathTwitter discussions and we intend to continue to build relationships, amplify pathologists’ voices and bring you a little closer to us.
Happy New Year to you and yours from the Instapath team,
